Partners General Insurance Agency is a wholly owned subsidiary of State Auto Mutual Insurance Company and functions as their Managing Underwriter on behalf of State Auto’s specialty insurer, Rockhill Insurance Company.  Together with Rockhill’s Richmond, VA office, we underwrite General Liability and Excess Liability in all 50 states (and D.C.).
Partners General was established in 2001 in Calabasas, California by former insurance company executives, underwriting on behalf of one insurance company in a single state. We grew to underwrite several programs on behalf of multiple insurance companies, countrywide.

In 2002, we established a second underwriting office in Naperville, Illinois to help in our expansion to the Midwest and East Coast.  The Home Office was moved from Calabasas to Simi Valley, California in 2010.  We opened our Boston area office in early 2011.
In 2014, Partners General joined the State Auto team and together we strive toward strong, profitable growth, offering appointed surplus lines brokers General Liability and Excess Liability on strong paper, with broad terms and competitive pricing.  In addition, our producers have the availability of other specialty programs and coverages.  Visit RHKC.com for additional information.
Our underwriters come from insurance company backgrounds with an average of more than 20 years of surplus lines experience.
We are opportunistic underwriters and seek new prospects that have a strong potential for long term profit for Rockhill and our producers.
Everyone talks about their commitment to service – Partners General delivers with an established track record of responsiveness and quality. In an industry where price is always important, we also provide a strong and responsive market with quality with A XII paper and broad terms.
